Shamik Sharma : Chief Technology Officer, Myntra
Shamik Sharma is the Chief Technology officer at Myntra and heads its product management and technology functions. He is responsible for driving technology strategies and working towards building a high tech culture at Myntra.

Shamik has held key roles in several organizations and has over 15 years of technology experience. Shamik has spent most of his career in the bay area and was the Vice President, Software at Lytro, a light field camera startup company founded in 2006. Prior to that, he has also held executive roles in RockYou, StumbleUpon and Yahoo!

Shamik is a Computer Science graduate from IIT-Kharagpur and holds a Master’s degree from the University of Maryland


Jay Vikram Bakshi : Founder, Digiqom Solutions
Jay is a venture catalyst, and founder, mentor in Social Media, Mobile Experiences, and Brand Eco-systems, co-creating communities for brands, corporates, and NGOs. He has a significant track record in media, advertising, IT, Telecom, and software, with deep domain knowledge in Telecom Software, B2B marketing and B2C brand creation.

Starting out as a financial journalist in reputed publications such as Business Today magazine, The Economic Times, and Business Standard, Jay went on to lead Corporate Communications and Marketing at Hughes Software Systems (now Aricent), HSBC and Nokia, delivering on several fronts including India’s first book built IPO, the most admired brand, global M&A's, CSR campaigns, and in building a startup, Hughes BPO, now Quatrro.

In 2006, Jay founded Digiqom, a digital marketing company that focuses on strategic digital marketing for brands and consumers, to help them achieve their communication goals and business objectives. The company is working for leading brands, including American Express, HDFC Bank, CRISIL Limited, Confederation of Indian Industry and also helping in online amplification of campaigns by the Government of India and has recently won accolades for managing social media for high-worth campaigns, Make In India and RE-Invest.

Jay is active in industry forums such as TiE, IAN, IVCA. A pioneer in community-powered influence management, he created one of India’s earliest contextual advertising businesses - RightServe - and handled the US - India outsourcing issue in 2002 advising NASSCOM’s global media strategy.

Jay is well regarded for his opinion in media for telecom policy, marketing, communications, retail innovation, social media and entrepreneurship. He often shares his insights and experiences at IIT-Delhi, FMS-Delhi, MDI-Gurgaon, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Delhi, occasionally chairs jury at British Council’s Young Creative Entrepreneur awards, and moderates at UKTI and TiE events.

A Trustee of READ India and an advisor to the International Business Leaders Forum, Jay contributes his time and skills for developing sustainable social entrepreneurship models. He is a De Bono trained Creative Thinker, holds a PG Certificate from IIM Calcutta and Bachelors in Commerce from St. Xavier’s College, University of Calcutta. Jay was recently invited to attended the global CSC Leadership conference at London and Singapore to tackle challenges and build global relationships in support of smartcities.

David Wittenberg : CEO, The Innovation Workgroup

Earlier in his career, David worked as an independent management consultant for such firms as American Express, AT&T, Kelly Services, Philip Morris, Standard & Poor’s and UPS.

David earned his MBA in international management with honors from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, where he served as a research assistant and co-wrote three business cases. A highly-rated speaker, he has lectured on innovation, marketing, strategy, entrepreneurship and salesmanship, as well as teaching business at Stratford University, FOSTIIMA Business School and Sunstone Business School. In 2014, David joined the Indian Council on Competitiveness and the Thunderbird Educator Network. He resides in New Delhi.


Nandkumar Saravade : Chief Executive Officer, Data Security Council of India
Prior to joining Data Security Council of India, Mr. Nandkumar Saravade was working as an independent advisor on fraud and security to Ernst & Young (EY) and ICICI Bank. Till September 2013, he was the South Asia head of Security, Investigation and Vigilance function for Citibank. During 2008-2011, he worked as General Manager, Financial Crime Prevention Group, ICICI Bank, where he was responsible for fraud risk management, internal investigations, vendor due diligence and regulatory reporting for the Bank.

Till 2008, Mr. Saravade served with the Indian Police Service (IPS). His last assignment in the IPS was Director, Cyber Security and Compliance, NASSCOM, which involved policy formulation on cyber security and privacy, capacity building for law enforcement, advising NASSCOM members on incident response management and organizing mass awareness campaigns on cyber security.

Mr. Saravade also served in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for seven years and West Bengal Police for six years. He was awarded the Prime Minister’s Baton and Revolver for being the Best All-round Probationer of the 1987 batch of the IPS and also the Indian Police Medal for Distinguished Services. Previously a member of the High Level Group on Electronic Banking Controls Governance and Technology Risk Management Standards set up by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Mr. Saravade has also been Chairman, India Payment Risk Council (IPRC), a body of fraud risk professionals in Indian banks, during 2008-2011.

Mr Saravade holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad as well as a Masters’ degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

Paranjoy Guha Thakurta : Noted Political Economist
is an Indian journalist, political commentator, author and a documentary film maker. His works have appeared in print, radio, television and documentaries. He is also a regular guest lecturer at some of the top institutes like the IIM, JNU etc.

Through his career spanning over 30 years, he has been associated with major media houses like Business India, Businessworld, The Telegraph, India Today and The Pioneer. He also hosted the chat show India Talks on CNBC-India which ran over 1400 episodes.

In 2013, he directed a short documentary film Coal Curse which highlighted the wrongs in the Indian coal mining industry. The 45-minute film, supported by Greenpeace, delved into the political economy of coal in contemporary India with the Singrauli example serving as a case study.


Prof Pankaj Jalote : Director, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology
Pankaj Jalote has recently joined as Director of the newly created Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi. Prior to this, he was the Microsoft Chair Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Delhi. Before this he was with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur since 1989, where he was also the Head of the Department from 1998 to 2002. Earlier he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland, where he also held joint appointment in the Institute of Advanced Computer Studies. From 1996 to 1998, he was Vice President (quality) at Infosys Technologies Ltd., a large Bangalore-based company providing software solutions worldwide, where he spearheaded Infosys' successful move to high maturity levels of the CMM. From 2003 to 2004 he was a Visiting Researcher at Microsoft Corporation, Redmond, USA.

He is the author of CMM in Practice , (Addison Wesley, 1999), a book that has been translated in Japanese, Chinese, and Korean; Software Project Management in Practice (Addison Wesley, Feb 2002); the highly popular textbook An Integrated Approach to Software Engineering, (Springer 1991, 2nd Edition 1996, 3rd Edition 2005), whose Indian edition was recognized as the best selling book in computer science by its local publisher; and the graduate-level book Fault Tolerance in Distributed Systems , (Prentice Hall, 1994). He is on the Board of Advisors of many software companies in India and USA, is a Technical Advisory Board member for Microsoft Research, India, has served on the Editorial Board of IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, and International Journal of Emperical Software Engineering.

His research interest is in software engineering (software quality, software process improvement, software architecture analysis), and fault tolerant systems and reliability.


Sachin Jain : Chief Information Officer at Evalueserve
Sachin Jain is CIO (Global IT Operations) and CISO at Evalueserve. In this function he is responsible for all aspects of strategic IT planning, implementation, support and Information security worldwide as an integral component of business plan. At Evalueserve, Sachin is providing executive leadership as head of Global IT and Information Security. Sachin has engineered turnaround of IT’s performance and service levels, transformed IT into a strategic business partner, managed and delivered multiple large scale projects on time and within budget. Before joining Evalueserve in Dec 2000, Sachin was leading the project Ties2Family, India's first social networking website way back in 2000. Vijay Sethi : Chief Information Officer & Head Corporate Social Responsibility, Hero MotoCorp
Mr. Sethi is the Chief Information Officer and Head Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the company. He also leads innovation efforts in the company and headed HR function for sometime earlier. He also serves as a Board Member of M/s HMC MM Auto Ltd. (A joint venture of HMCL and M/s Magneti Marelli of Italy). Mr. Sethi has more than twenty five years of experience in manufacturing industry and consulting environment. He joined Hero MotoCorp in 2007 and prior to that, he has worked with Ranbaxy and TCS.

Ritu Madbhavi is the CIO at FCB ulka Advertising for about five years now, where she has successfully handled several projects and executed them successfully. Nandkishor Dhomne : VP-IT & CIO, Manipal Health Enterprises, Manipal Group
Nandkishor Dhomne graduated in Computer Science from Nagpur University in the year 1991 and further completed his Masters Degree (MCA) in Computer Applications from Delhi. He carries an overall experience of 22 years in managing IT function for various industry verticals including healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, airports, infrastructure & education. Presently, he is working with Manipal Hospitals as VP-IT & CIO. In his current role, he is managing the IT function for Manipal Group Hospitals, which is a third largest healthcare Group in India. Prior to assuming the company's leadership, Sanjay was Vice President – Products and was responsible for providing the products and processes needed to create and run an efficient marketplace at ShopClues.com.

Sanjay has been the Global Product Head for Shipping & Logistics, Payments & Billing for eBay, at its headquarter in the Silicon Valley. Prior to eBay, some of companies he worked with were TradeBeam, a global trade management startup based in San Francisco and Great America Insurance in Cincinnati. Before moving to US, Sanjay worked for 5 years in India with HCL Perot Systems, IIS Infotech and Steel Authority of India Ltd. He is a graduate in technology from Indian Institute of Technology (Delhi) and Indian Institute of Technology - Banaras Hindu University.


Chetan Thakkar: Founder Team Member and Senior VP, Religare Health Insurance
Mr. Chetan Thakkar is a Founder Member of Religare Health Insurance (RHI) & spearheads the Online business function for the Company. He is part of the core team working towards making Religare a dominant player in the country's health insurance landscape.

Chetan has an overall experience of more than 19 years in building businesses and has consistently demonstrated entrepreneurial acumen; he has also been instrumental in conceptualizing & building the Online business for RHI. Previously, as Regional Head for Personal Financial Services (PFS) at Religare Finvest Ltd, he built a robust distribution franchise for financial products in Eastern India. Sunil Sharma is currently leading the brand Cyberoam as Vice President - Sales and Operations, India & SAARC. With a rich and extensive experience of 22 years in the IT industry, in the field of Computers, Storage & Security; Sunil has worked with diverse industry verticals and segments - SI's, VAR's, ISP's, Resellers, Dealers, Retail, OEM, Enterprise, SME, SMB and SOHO. He has worked with worked with companies like McAfee, EMC Data Storage, and Iris Computers in his previous assignments. Vilasini Subramaniam: Head of Credit and Risk, HFFC
Vilasini heads Risk and credit at HFFC, prior to this she worked as General Manager, Finance at Micro Housing Finance Corporation and at Citibank. At HFFC, Vilasini manages credit and risk while also being responsible for spearheading the credit scoring initiative. When implemented it is likely to bring about a paradigm shift in the way the financially unserved and underserved customers are evaluated for their credit needs.

Vilasini has over 13 years of experience in retail banking, microfinance and affordable housing finance with expertise in credit & operations risk management, product development, consumer analytics, business strategy & implementation.


Pradeep Gupta: CMD, CyberMedia
Pradeep Gupta (Born March 8, 1955) is the chairman and managing director of CyberMedia, India's leading specialty media house and a public company with an ICT focus. He has received national awards for his championship of the disabled, and alumni awards for entrepreneurship. He is also an Angel investor and a mentor to a number of entrepreneurs.

Pradeep Gupta received the Distinguished Alumni Award from IIT Delhi in 2000. He also received the Helen Keller Award from the National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People, the Award for Outstanding Contribution towards National Development from IIT Delhi Alumni Association.

He received the Karmaveer Puraskaar award (social justice national awards)in the "Corporate Citizens for Holistic Media Initiatives" category for 2009-2010. Work that led to this award include his social intervention plan that resulted in the IT/BPO industry becoming accessible to the disabled, his work towards making all Indian websites disabled-friendly and his 'Getting Girls to School' programme.

Ed Nair serves as Editor of Global Services of Cyber Media (India) Ltd. Mr. Nair is responsible for upholding the brand values of Global Services, and creating credible content for its audience. He manages a team of editorial staff spread across different locations in the U.S.A. and India and various key alliances and programs for the publication.He has spent 20 years in technology research and media industries, handling a variety of functions that include industry research, sales and marketing, print and online content, and general management. In previous roles, he was the editor for enterprise computing at Dataquest, India's leading IT publication and a senior analyst with IDC India. He was chosen to get the Polestar Award for Best IT Journalist in India in 1998. He has been tracking the global outsourcing industry since the early nineties, when he was part of the World Bank-funded study for the Department of Electronics, Govt. of India on software exports. His direct exposure to the outsourcing industry includes: a project at Tibco Software, Palo Alto, where he worked hands-on at offshoring global marketing activities and a consulting assignment advising First American Corporation, Phoenix, on managing organizational change in large scale outsourcing operations. For the past five years or so, he has been involved in researching and writing about global business, factors of globalization, international trade and economy in broader contexts beyond the technology and media sector.He holds a graduate degree with honors in electronics engineering from University of Mumbai and an MBA from Thunderbird School for Global Management.
